I shot Janna’s and Anthony’s wedding at the Broadmoor. It was a beautiful day and they had a wonderful romantic wedding. When I shoot weddings I love all these great moment: Two people, two families come together. What an honor for me to be part of this special day and to create these important memories for them. Those are real moments and you can’t fake them. With an observing eye I capture the reality of the wedding — the real moments that they will remember years later when flipping through their wedding album photos. There is beauty and art in reality.

Special moments for the bride on her wedding day. The wedding gown turns the bride into the princess she will be on her wedding day. Everyone in the bridal suite gets excited when this moment happens.
Everyone is waiting for the bride, while Janna gets out the elevator. On her way to the ceremony side she checks her dress the last time, before dad walks her down the aisle. She wants to be perfect.
Waiting for the next set of people during the formal photo shoot. Janna is making fun to the photographer. The real moments during the formal photo shoot happen between the photos.
The kiss is of course one of the most romantic moments at a wedding. My favorite photo moment is actually the smile, before the kiss. When he looks in her eyes, smiling, ready for the kiss and she is smiling back to him…
The ballroom is ready for the reception. Everything is perfectly decorated, waiting for the wedding party. Probably the last quite moment before 150 wedding guests enter this beautiful ballroom.
The moment before the reception. The DJ inside of the ballroom makes the big announcement. The guests, videographer and photographer are waiting: “Welcome Janna and Anthony as husband an wife…” – Janna and Anthony are ready for their friends and families …
One of my favorite moments at Janna’s and Anthony’s wedding. During the father and daughter dance Janna’s Dad suddenly stopped and had Anthony finish the dance… a very symbolic moment.
Ok, this moment was special to me too. I watched Anthony and Janna during the dinner. This is usually not the time to take photos. I noticed something was going on between the two of them. Anthony seemed to sing a song to Janna… I quickly changed to my tele lens, I didn’t want to disturb the moment.
